Libya is part of the Mediterranean belt, known for its unique biodiversity, encompassing a variety of habitats. From extended coastlines to vast deserts and rugged mountains, this ecological diversity makes it home to many bird species, including resident birds that breed and live year-round, as well as migratory birds that stop in Libya during their long journeys between Europe and Africa.
