As part of the Winter Waterbird Survey Program in Libya, the Libyan Society for Birds, in collaboration with the Libyan Organization for Conservation of Nature, conducted a series of field visits to the wetlands in the city of Misrata.

The visits covered several ecologically important sites, including Wadi Sasso, Zarig port, Misrata treatment plant, Qaser Ahmed Sabkha, and the Assinaya area.

Field activities yielded notable results in terms of species diversity and abundance.
