The Zwarah region witnessed a productive and remarkable period from 17 to 19 January 2018 as part of the Winter Waterbird Census program.

The census activities were carried out in collaboration with the Libyan Society for Birds, Bado Society for the protection of marine and terrestrial life, and the General Environmental Authority.

Field surveys covered several wetlands in Zwarah, the Farwa complex, and the Abu Kamash area, yielding important data on waterbird populations.

The program organizers extend their sincere thanks to the Bado Society team for their excellent organization and outstanding enthusiasm for birds and their protection.
